<p>Although the topics should be related to Data Analysis and Artificial Intelligence, the challenge can be related to any domain/industry. Artificial Intelligence is a complementary field.</p>

  <li>Improve the process of automatic indexing and categorization to increase efficiency.</li>

<p>To define a realistic challenge based on available data can be a time-consuming task. Therefore, alumni with years of working experience in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence will help you translate your input to a realistic challenge&nbsp;for you.</p>

<p>Artificial Intelligence students have a lot of group-based project experience and are used to relatively high workloads. Some characteristics of the students:</p>

<h1><strong>Context</strong></h1>
<p>Let talented MBA students from Nyenrode Business University solve your business challenges (in June-July). Get practical consulting-like recommendations based on relevant and theoretically supported concepts, tools and frameworks that are taught in the MBA program.</p>
<p>This ‘Company Project’ is the last phase of the Full-time MBA program. Students will be working in pairs and will work 8 weeks on solving the challenge. In total they will work on average 200 hours on this challenge.</p>
<h1><strong>Challenge topics</strong></h1>
<p>Although the topics should be related to the “Business Administration” domain, the challenge can be related to strategy, information and communication technology, finance/accounting, HR, operations and supply chain, and marketing.</p>

<h1><strong>Profile of the students</strong></h1>
<p>All students are recruited, screened and successfully passed the selection rounds of Nyenrode’s admission and intake procedure. Some characteristics of the students:</p>

  <li>Young international professionals, from various countries</li>
  <li>At least 3 years of relevant working experience</li>
  <li>Different sectors (e.g., healthcare, pharma, chemistry, consumer good, logistics, IT, hospitality)</li>
  <li>Different disciplines (e.g., engineering, marketing, consulting, finance, supply chain, HR)</li>

<h1><strong>Company requirements</strong></h1>
<ul>
  <li>Exist for a minimum of 5 years</li>
  <li>At least 15 employees</li>
  <li>A minimum annual turnover of € 1 million</li>
</ul>
<p>PLEASE NOTE: Smaller firms and start-ups can also sign up; however, their projects are subject to an additional screening to ensure the correct level of inherent “complexity”.</p>
<h1><strong>Costs</strong></h1>
<p>To help facilitate this challenge a small fee of €500,- (ex tax) per team applies.</p>
<p>PLEASE NOTE: You will only be charged when matched to a team.</p>
<h1><strong>Practical information</strong></h1>
<ul>
  <li>Students will work in pairs of two;</li>
  <li>Students are willing to sign NDA and any other equivalent contract;</li>
  <li>Given the Corona crisis the students are willing to work from home;</li>
  <li>The company projects will take place in months June and July 2020 (the defense will be in August 2020 where the company can optionally attend);</li>
  <li>The pairs of students will have a supervising professor at Nyenrode Business University</li>
  <li>The students and university expect the company to remain engaged in the project and help the students where needed, although the students are mature, experienced, and can work independently.</li>
</ul>
<h1><strong>Planning</strong></h1>
<ul>
  <li><strong>May 1: </strong>Deadline to submit a challenge (we might be ‘sold out’ before this date)</li>
  <li><strong>May 8: </strong>Sharing the challenges with the teams. They may contact the contact persons of the challenge companies directly to discuss the challenge, ask questions, and see if there is a 'match'.</li>
  <li><strong>May 10: </strong>Teams hand in their preferred challenges including a brief motivation why they want to solve this challenge. The companies receive an overview of the teams that have chosen their challenge.</li>
  <li><strong>May 14: </strong>The companies indicate their preference regarding the team(s) they want to work with.</li>
  <li><strong>May 15: </strong>Our matching algorithm will create perfect matches. Matches are shared with the teams and companies.</li>
  <li><strong>June 1 – July 31: </strong>Students work on solving the challenge.</li>
  <li><strong>August:</strong> Defense. Each team will present their work to the company.</li>
